I've recently discovered the health benefits of juicing. It's combining several vegetables, fruits, and other healthy additives to come up with a drink packed with vitamins and minerals. It doesn't look appealing but it tastes really good.
If you're new to this, here's a simple 'formula' that you can follow:
1. Choose a base
Your base can be a plain filtered water or you may experiment with other bases like coconut water, unsweetened almond milk, or tea.
2. Pick one or two leafy vegetables
You can try kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, or any green vegetables that you can think of.
3. Pick one or two fruits
The fruits add flavor to your smoothie. In fact, you can forego adding honey or any other sweetener if you're adding fruits.
Optional: You can add chia seeds, nuts, cilantro, parsley, lemon, ginger, and other healthy additives.
Here's some of my favorite green smoothie recipes. They're easy to make (less than 5 minutes) and they're very healthy.
